Star of Clarkson’s Farm, Gerald Cooper, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

There have been emotional scenes in Clarkson’s Farm season 3 after it has been revealed by Jeremey Clarkson that one of his co-stars has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Clarkson revealed that Gerald Cooper, who has worked on Diddly Squat Farm for 50 years had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and had to undergo an operation.

Oh s***.” In the next episode he explained that Cooper had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, with Clarkson and Kaleb Cooper discussing his condition and absence from Diddly Squat Farm.

Clarkson says in a voiceover: "Gerald had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Something me and Kaleb discussed while trying to do what our absent friend normally does."

He tells Kaleb: "It’s pretty complicated. Phoning around doctors and things I know and his odds are really good. But it’s scaring him to death." Kaleb replied: "Yeah. He doesn’t understand."

Will Gerald be in Clarkson’s Farm season 3?

Cooper has worked on Diddly Squat Farm for 50 years, with his speciality in stone wall building. He is a beloved character of the series, thanks to his thick accent often leaving the former Top Gear star confused.

Clarkson shares an update on Cooper’s condition later on in the series, he said: “The word is he’s on the mend.” To which, Kaleb relied: “That’s what we like to hear, there’s a few walls that fell down so we need him to be back at it.” Clarkson’s added: “I know we do want him back.”
