A Premier League manager has made a surprise appearance in a new music video.

Everton manager Sean Dyche has made a surprise appearance in a music video put out by Blossoms for their newest single, What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?.

In the video, released yesterday on their official YouTube channel, Dyche gives instructions to the band akin to a mob boss from the comfort of his own home. A noted fan of indie and rock music, Dyche has been spotted at several music festivals over the years - clearly, this is an opportunity that the 52-year-old would have revelled in.

Co-produced by J. Lloyd of Jungle and James Skelly of The Coral, ‘What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?’ is Blossoms first musical release of 2024. It is expected to feature on their upcoming fifth studio album - it is also their first release since 2022.

Dyche has had an excellent season at Everton under incredibly difficult circumstances. Despite being hit with multiple sanctions and points deductions, the former Burnley head coach has guided the Toffees to safety. After winning three games in a row, Everton find themselves in 15th position and are 11 points above the relegation zone.

Speaking about the new single, a statement from the band reads: “We’ve always been big fans of Jungle so we reached out to them last year and this was the first song we worked on.

“It came together in a few hours, we finished it off with James Skelly and we absolutely love it. Sonically, it feels like a new avenue for the band but it still retains the core Blossoms DNA.”

On his appearance in the music video, Dyche said: “I was delighted to be asked to appear in Blossoms’ new video and it was great to have a ‘craic’ with them whilst filming. Great lads and a great band … Loving what they all produce.”
