Chapelfield Gardens: Man arrested after another man raped in Norwich park as police issue appeal

Following enquiries, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of rape in Beccles on Monday (June 17). He has been taken to the Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remains in custody.
Police have since issued an appeal for information from anyone who was in the part between 11pm and 11.45 on the night of the incident.

Hide AdDetective Chief Inspector Kevin Barber from Broadland CID said: "Our appeal for witnesses or any information is ongoing and I would urge anyone who was in the area to come forward regardless of whether or not they believe they saw anything.”
“We would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw two men entering Chapelfield Gardens from the direction of Little Bethel Street and from anyone who may have seen a male dressed in dark clothing running off in the direction of or along Chapelfield Road.”
