Khloe Kardashian recently wished former EastEnders actress Maisie Smith a happy birthday - but which other celebrities are unlikely friends?

A newfound friendship has recently been sparked between two unlikely celebrity pals. Khloe Kardashian, known for starring in The Kardashians reality series alongside her famous family, has revealed online that she shares a friendship with former EastEnders actress Maisie Smith, with many questioning how they became acquaintances.

The unlikely friendship came to light back in 2020 when Khloe commented on one of Maisie’s Instagram posts. She wrote: “You have the most beautiful legs! Envy worthy! I cannot build my legs for the life of me! So I am drooling over yours. You are gorgeous!”

Maisie responded to the comment, writing: “Thanks chicken x”.

Now, the friendship has come to light once again as Khloe wished her pal a happy birthday. Khloe wrote: “Happy birthday queen!!!! “My leg inspiration! Blessings to you gorgeous!”

Maisie replied: “Will spot your squats ANY TIME girl thanks again x chick x”.

The friendship between Meryl Streep and 50 Cent went viral back in 2014 after the pair were pictured courtside together at a New York Knicks game. The match was Meryl’s first ever basketball game and 50 Cent took the reins by explaining what was happening to the actress.

50 Cent recalled the event on Jimmy Kimmel Live, telling the host: "As soon as I noticed she didn’t know what was going on, I was like ‘Hey, don’t worry just come with me. This is gonna be cool.’ ”

Harry Styles and Shania Twain

Pop sensation Harry Styles and country star Shania Twain sparked a friendship a number of years ago. Shania confirmed during an appearance on US talk show The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier this year that the pair first met at the beginning of his career.

She said: “He was playing in New York, this is before he blew up, and I went backstage to meet him. We became texting friends at that moment.”

The “That Don’t Impress Me Much” singer then revealed Harry texted her a few weeks later asking if she would sing happy birthday to his mum, explaining that his mum was a big fan of hers. She added: "I called her up, wished her a happy birthday and Harry and I have been friends ever since.”

John Travolta and Pitbull

A friendship between rapper Pitbull and actor John Travolta has blossomed over the years. The pair are such good friends that they even take inspiration from each other’s styles.

In 2019, John debuted his new bald look, revealing he had been inspired by Pitbull. According to People, their friendship began in 2011 after Lady Gaga performed Nat King Cole’s "Orange Colored Sky" at the Robin Hood Foundation gala in New York City.
