What’s on TV this weekend?

To help keep you entertained this weekend I’ve put together a list of the best things to watch on TV instead of Euro 2024.

Bridgerton season 3 Part Two

If you haven’t already binged it in one sitting, Bridgerton season 3 Part Two dropped on Netflix on Thursday (June 13). The last instalment of the third season which focused on the story of Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin’s (Luke Newton) will they/won’t they romance, will finally give us some closure, but will the identity of Lady Whistledown be revealed?

You can watch Bridgerton season 3 Part Two on Netflix.

The Boys season 4

Back for its fourth season, The Boys dropped on Amazon Prime on Thursday (June 13) gifting viewers its first three episodes - we are forever grateful. That means a whole three hours of bingeable TV to occupy your Saturday night.

As expected from The Boys, there will be plenty of gore, as season 4 follows Homelander (Antony Starr) grow even more unhinged (who thought that was possible?) as he controls the Seven, along with Vought as the world is on the brink. That’s where our band of vigilantes headed up by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), take them on, trying to restore the balance before it’s too late, all with the help of new character, Joe Kessler, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

You can watch The Boys on Amazon Prime Video.

Doctor Who: The Legend of Ruby Sunday

The penultimate episode of Doctor Who is the first half of a two-part finale. It aims to finally answer some of this season’s latest unexplained mysteries with the plot teasing that we may learn Ruby Sunday's most precious secret, oh yeah and the whole existence of the world is in grave danger.

You can watch Doctor Who: The Legend of Ruby Sunday on Saturday, June 15 on BBC One at 6.30pm.

Presumed Innocent

The eight-episode legal drama dropped on Apple TV+ on Wednesday (June 12). It stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a prosecutor who is suspected of committing a horrific murder and must prove his own innocence. Gripping, intense and at times suffocating, it is based on The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow.

You can watch Presumed Innocent on Apple TV+.

The Traitors US season 2

Reckon you can weed out who is a loyal faithful or a traitor? The Traitors is back, with season 2 of the US version finally available in the UK. The series dropped on BBC iPlayer on Wednesday (June 12), hosted by Alan Cumming it is purely a celebrity affair, featuring UK names including Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and former speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow.

House of the Dragons season 2

Okay, so not technically out this weekend, House of the Dragons season 2 is dropping for UK viewers on Monday, June 17, thanks to the technicality of time. If you want to get stuck into the new series at a more respectable hour, it will be available to watch on Sky Atlantic from 9pm and Now TV.
