Fans will know that season 3, which aired on Netflix in December 2022, ended on a huge cliffhanger. Emily was forced to reveal her feelings for neighbour Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) - as he stood at the altar about to marry her friend Camille (Camille Razat).

Camille told Gabriel that she was pregnant with his child, but she would not marry him because he knew he was in love with Emily. This all caused Emilly’s boyfriend Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) to leave her.

Then, of course, there was the fact that Camille had cheated on Gabriel with artist Sofia - something Emily knows but Gabriel doesn’t.

So, although we don’t know precisely how these things will play out in season four we do know that it’s likely to be pretty dramatic, and not straight-forward at all. Or, as Razat put it in the teaser video released by Netflix, ‘messy’.

In the video, Collins says: “Season four comes out this August 15 for part one. Part two drops on September 12, you're welcome.”

Collins and her co-stars are then asked how they would describe the new series in three words. Ashley Park, who plays Emily's best friend Mindy Chen, joked: “If I could describe season four in three words right now . . . not finished yet.”

Luca, one of Emily's French colleagues played by Bruno Gouery, hinted towards a possible new love interest for Emily, calling the series 'bellezza' which is 'beauty' in Italian. Laviscount added that it was ‘chaotic’ and ‘heartbreaking’. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who plays Emily’s boss Sylvie, says that the series can be summed up in one word - ‘revenge’.

The launch date of the new season has been announced days after new photographs were released which showed Emily looking lovingly at a handsome man, played by Franceschini, during scenes filmed in Rome, Italy, at the Trevi Fountain.

So, it seems production on the show will have to be quick to get it ready to be on our screens in just over three months - although this may be the reason why there is a mid-season break for the first time in the show’s history.

When will ‘Emily in Paris’ season 4 air?

‘Emily in Paris’ season 4 will air in two parts. Part 1 premieres on Thursday August 15, and there will then be a mid-season break and Part 2 will follow around a month later on Thursday September 12. Each part will have five episodes.
