EastEnders cancelled for second day in a row due to TV schedule shake up

EastEnders has been removed from its normal BBC One slot for the second day in a row. Euro 2024 has caused chaos for soap fans as the matches are aired on both the BBC and ITV1 affecting EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

Scotland will play Switzerland from 7:30 pm on Wednesday June 19 meaning EastEnders will be moved over to BBC Two for the second day in a row. The soap will be available to watch at its usual time of 7:30 pm. 

Many TV shows have had major changes to their normal schedule. TV channels are airing two games a day and this week is also Royal Ascot. As well as the soaps. other TV shows such as Loose Women and The Chase have been cancelled this week.

England will play Denmark on Thursday June 20 forcing Coronation Street and Emmerdale to be cancelled. However, both soaps will return to the usual scheduling plan on Friday with Coronation Street showing an hour-long special to make up for the missing episodes.

The football competition will continue until mid July so expect more changes to come. We will keep you updated  so that you don't miss out on any of the soaps or daytime TV shows over the next few weeks.
