Hide AdHer comment caused outrage among viewers, who called her out for “mocking” those who suffer from them. Appearing back on the This Morning sofa today (June 18) Deeley was quick to apologise as the show began.
She said: really wanted to apologise to anyone I offended yesterday when I made a light hearted joke about my dancing style.
"It was really wasn’t meant to cause any upset to anybody but I can see why that might have been the case, so I do apologise. I am very sorry. It didn’t come from that place at all.”
The Epilepsy Society, a UK charity that research, advocacy and care for epilepsy patients, called for the presenter to “do better”.
Posting on X, the charity tweeted: “Seizures are no laughing matter for people with epilepsy. Please do better and educated yourselves about this difficult and poorly understood condition."
