Eamonn Holmes is due to make a surprise switch to reality television, as he looks to bounce back from his divorce.

The tenured TV presenter, 64, is a host on GB News and previously sat at the helm of ITV's This Morning alongside wife Ruth Langsford. However, the pair recently announced they would be divorcing after Langsford found messages between Holmes and another woman.

Now, as Holmes perhaps looks to protect his public image, he has been touted as a potential candidate for Celebrity Big Brother. The reality TV show sees celebs kept in a house together for weeks on end, with their antics broadcast on ITV for the nation to see. Many celebrities have previously used the show as a platform to clear their name following past controversies.

Now, the bookies have earmarked Holmes as one of the favourites for the next series, which would air in 2025. It has also been reported that he would pocket a cool £250,000 for his troubles.

Lee Astley, spokesperson for betideas.com, said: “Eamonn Holmes may look to Celebrity Big Brother for a new lease of life in reality TV and he is the likeliest celebrity to be in the lineup for the next series in 2025.

“He and Baby Reindeer star Richard Gadd top the market, although Gadd may be deterred from entering should his former stalker Fiona Harvey, also known as the real-life Martha Scott, make good on her 7/2 odds to appear in the next series.

“Also fancied to enter the house are big names from the sporting world such as Stuart Broad and Tony Bellew, with political representation most likely to come in the form of either Nigel Farage or Boris Johnson.”
