After a few weeks away from social media Colleen Ballinger returned to YouTube to share an apology song and addressed accusations of inappropriate relationships with underage fans.

After being advised by her team not to speak out about the allegations, Colleen, who is best known for creating and portraying the online character ‘Miranda sings’ in case your wondering 'Who is Colleen Ballinger?', decided to do just that and sing in a bizarre apology video where she plays the Ukulele.

In the 10 minute plus video titled ‘Hi’ that was shared on to her official ‘Colleen Vlogs’ channel, this is exactly what she sang.

“Hey it’s been a while since I saw my face. I haven't been doing very well so I took a little break. A lot of people are saying things about me that aren't quite true - doesn't matter if it's true though just as long as it's entertaining to you.”

The singer goes into the chorus of “the toxic gossip train” before saying that her song is focused on the ‘facts’. Colleen explains that after sharing her life online for over 15 years she felt that her fans had become her friends and didn't realise there should have been boundaries there.

The comedian stops a few times making comments that not everyone is perfect and people make mistakes. “Oh I’m sorry I didn't realise that all of you are perfect so please criticise me”

Colleen also sings about her character “Miranda Sings” the PG comedy show is not available on YouTube Kids app but fans of all ages are able to go to the live shows with their families. However one fan that was invited on stage has opened up about her traumatic experience leading many brands to cut ties with the comedian. “I didn't realise it was my responsibility to decide what was appropriate for every kid to see.”

The video ends with her singing that mistakes don't make people bad, it just makes them human as she jokes “But what do I know? F*** me  right.”

The video has been viewed 4,330,099 times with over 15,190 Comments. Many of the comments are people questioning if the video is ‘real’ with mostly mediocre responses. However people have noticed that the dislikes and nasty comments had been turned off.

Her biggest critic Adam McIntyre - who has accused Colleen of inappropriate behaviour with him when he was 13 - was so shocked after watching the video he posted a reaction video on his own YouTube channel.

Adam helped Colleen with her social media in 2020 but when a tweet backfired she distanced herself from him.

The video is over 40 mins long with the YouTuber processing everything she says as he watches. Adam pauses throughout the video to add his own personal opinion.

He later tweeted “as much as colleen discredited & made fun of me, I'm glad her video did ONE thing, show you all EXACTLY the type of evil woman she is, that a lot of us have experienced over the past few years behind the scenes, the mask has slipped…everyone meet the REAL Colleen Ballinger.”

Other Youtubers have since shared their own reactions to the apology video with the consensus that Colleen has ended her own career with this bizarre video and should have listened to her team that advised her not to say anything at all.
