Coronation Street prices are slashed due to fans switching off ITV soap.

Coronation Street fans are switching off the ITV soap causing the studio tour experience to slash prices. In the past few weeks fans have vowed to switch off the soap due to ridiculous storylines.

The ongoing storyline of Lauren Bolton’s alleged murder that has put café owner Roy Cropper behind bars has got fans fuming. Viewers have watched the story unfold for several weeks and slammed the writers on social media for the “ridiculous” and “dragged out” storyline. Fans have even vowed not to watch the soap until the story has ended.

The decline in people watching the soap has caused the studio tour to slash their prices in the hope that it will encourage fans back. The Coronation Street tour is currently offering a 20 percent discount on tickets throughout May.

The discount offer was shared on social media for selected dates including the May Bank Holiday weekend. Ticket prices for special weekends when you can meet your favourite character in person start from £55.

This comes after a recent Q&A event with cast members Mikey North and Ryan Prescott failed to sell tickets. According to The Sun huge numbers of tickets were unsold just hours before the event.
