Comedian Jimmy Carr has been called out for being ‘rude’ on This Morning

Jimmy Carr has been branded ‘obnoxious’ and ‘rude’ by viewers due to his constant interruptions on This Morning show. The comedian and TV host was due for a chat with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary as celebrity chef Clodagh McKenna introduced three ways of cooking one single chicken in her segment.

While Clodagh skilfully tended to a chicken carcass she suggested placing in a saucepan, showcasing three different methods for preparing a single chicken, Jimmy interjected with a jest: "What? Have you not got a bin?"

Despite Clodagh's attempts to continue her segment, Jimmy persistently interrupted, urging her to discard the chicken. He mocked her as she praised the flavour of her chicken broth, quipping, "Wait until she finds out about stock cubes!"

Throughout the segment, he continually talked over Clodagh, offering sarcastic remarks. When Clodagh's portion concluded with Alison, Dermot, and Jimmy sampling a vegetable and chicken dish, Jimmy furthered his critique by suggesting it lacked chicken. Clodagh responded with a smile and a polite laugh, while Dermot offered a comforting gesture by wrapping his arm around her.

Jimmy’s behaviour however did not sit well with the viewers, with many slamming him for being “pathetic” on social media. One wrote on X: “Horrible person not at all funny and belittling.” Another wrote: "Jimmy Carr being an arse during this cooking segment on #ThisMorning STFU Jimmy. You’re not funny and just look well pathetic. It’s not always about you."

One said: “I'm sure I can speak for a lot of people when I say I can't stand Jimmy Carr. He's one of the most annoying and obnoxious people that I've ever seen.. and he's not funny as a comedian either.”

Clodagh continued to receive support from her fans after she took to Instagram with a selfie featuring Alison and Dermot, with no Jimmy in sight. She captioned the photo: "One chicken, 3 recipes, one @jimmycarr I’m officially ready for the weekend." More viewers in the comment section showed her support following her segment, with Jimmy being their target.

One fan said: “Well done for keeping it together, Clodagh. Jimmy Carr was awful to you.x.” Another wrote: “Well done on biting your tongue with the rudeness of Jimmy Carr and the hosts clearly were mortified.” One commented: “Jimmy Carr was funny wasnt he?…NOT!”
